Ħamrun Spartans completed their transfer activity minutes before the closure of the January transfer window when they reached an agreement to sign Albanian winger Redon Mihana.
The Spartans fans had the impression that the Malta champions had wrapped up their transfer business with the capture of Croatian winger Miheal Klepac.
But Ħamrun continued to work hard to try and add more quality to their already strong squad and in the final hour of the January transfer window they finalised a move to sign Redon Mihana.
Mihana arrives to Ħamrun Spartans after parting ways with Azerbaijan club Kapaz FK.
Incidentally, the Azeri club was in the local news as they have just signed Malta international winger Trent Buhagiar during the January transfer window.
Mihana holds a good pedigree as the speedy winger represented his country at Under 21 level.
He spent the majority of his career in Albania where he donned the colours of KF Laci, Apolonia, FK Dinamo, and KF Egnatia among others.
In July last year, he moved to Azerbaijan and this season he made four appearances with the club.
No doubt, Mihana will provide further speed and trickery to the Spartans forward line in a bid to successfully defend their league title.
Mihana is expected to arrive in Malta in the coming days and will make his debut in the FA Trophy clash against Żabbar SP on Wednesday.
