The Assikura Women’s League standings remain unchanged after the Top Four teams had to settle for draws.

On Thursday, Hibernians met Mġarr United while Birkirkara took on Swieqi United simultaneously.

Both matches produced identical 1-1 stalemates, leaving Hibernians and Swieqi on top with 39 points.

Mġarr continue to trail by three points in third while champions Birkirkara are fourth, now on 34.

Mġarr forged ahead through a Yanina Mendez goal after just 13 minutes.

After the break, Hibernians managed to find an equaliser through Leah Ayres.

In the other match, Birkirkara drew first blood with a 19th-minute goal by Mariah Cardona.

However, their joy was cut short when Salamatu Abdulai levelled terms for Swieqi.
