Watch: Maria Farrugia nominated for England’s second-tier best player, goal of the season awards

Maria Farrugia has received two nominations in the end of season Women’s Professional Game Awards.

The Malta international has been nominated for the Barclays Women’s Championship Player of the Season.

In addition, she was also nominated for Goal of the Season for her superb strikes against Bristol City at Bramall Lane back in October and against Portsmouth, the following month


Farrugia scored four goals for the Blades during a tough campaign, in which the club has been relegated to third-tier football.
