Albinskaya takes bronze in dance fitness
Malta enjoyed an impressive performance at the IFBB World Championships in Children’s Fitness that were organised last weekend in Čačak, Serbia.
This prestigious event welcomed over 250 young athletes from national teams across the world, including Hungary, Turkey, Slovakia, Serbia, Poland, Russia, the Czech Republic, Venezuela, Estonia, El Salvador, Monaco, and Mexico, among others.
Malta competed in the World Championships for children’s fitness IFBB 2025 for the first time and was represented by four girls, competing in Acrobatic Fitness and Dance Fitness, thanks to the Malta Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness (IFBB Malta).
Malta’s top performer during these Games was Liliana Albinskaya, a world championship finalist, who competed in the Dance Fitness 10-11 years category and managed to bring home a bronze medal.
Chloe Cooper, now a world championship fitness finalist and a student at the National Sports School in Malta, placed sixth in the 12-13 years age group of the Dance Fitness competition.
Diuk Millie and Sabina Akbasa also delivered strong performances, achieving excellent results during the event.
The Malta contingent was guided by the National coach Igor Matyushenko and Diana Lakhno.
