Gżira United have secured the services of Brazilian striker Fabricio Kante, the Premier League club announced.
“Fabricio Kante is a Maroon,” the Premier League club said in a statement.
“27-year-old Fabricio Kante is a Brazilian striker who is currently playing in Brazil with GA Sampaio. He signed a one-year contract with our club.
“During his career, he played for Sao Raimundo, Trem, and Taguatinga, always in his native country.”
Kante is the latest overseas player who joined Gżira United this summer. Earlier this week, the Premier League club announced that they had reached an agreement to sign Costa Rica attacking midfielder Johan Bonilla.
According to the club’s statement, Bonilla is an experienced offensive midfielder who in recent seasons, managed to play in the top division of Costa Rica.
Last season, Bonilla played for Santa Ana and was previously on the books of Sporting FC, Puntarenas FC, Grecia, and other Costa Rican clubs.
Bonilla is the second Costa Rica player to join Gżira United as earlier this month they signed defender Pablo Fonseca.
