Valletta FC have boosted their forward line with the signing of Thaylor Aldama, the Premier League club announced.
The 31-year-old Spanish winger, who also holds Angolan citizenship, has parted ways with his former club Gżira United at the end of last season after his contract expired.
Aldama opened talks with Valletta and an agreement was finally reached that would see him don their colour for the 2025-26 season.
Aldama needs little introduction with Maltese football fans since arriving in Malta in 2021 with Hibernians.
During his spell with the Paola club, the forward helped the club to win the league title in season 2021-22 and then the Super Cup in December 2022.
With Hibernians, Aldama amassed 65 appearances, scoring one goal and providing 14 assists.
In 2023, Aldama moved to Gżira United where he made 59 appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing 14 assists.
Aldama is Valletta’s fifth signing this summer following Brazilian goalkeeper Adilson Maringa, and defenders Mattias Ellul, Emmanuel Mbende, and Shaft Brewer.
