Former Ħamrun defender Mayron joins Żabbar St Patrick on a two-year contract

Żabbar St Patrick have reached an agreement to sign Brazilian defender Mayron, the Times of Malta can confirm.

The former Ħamrun Spartans defender was a free agent after he was not offered a new contract at the end of the season.

The Saints were keen to bring in a defender and have targeted the Brazilian defender.

Personal terms were agreed upon between the two parties, and Mayron has put pen to paper on a two-year deal.

Mayron is expected to replace Djorde Jovicic, who was not offered a new contract by the Saints and is now set to join a top-flight side in Bosnia.

Mayron arrived in Malta last season and made 32 appearances for Ħamrun Spartans, scoring one goal to help the club win their 11th Premier League title.
