Valletta FC have confirmed the signing of Serbian centre-back Sava Radic.
“Valletta FC is pleased to announce that Serbian centre-back Sava Radić has agreed terms with the club,” the Premier League club said in a statement.
“Known for his physical presence and defensive awareness, the 27-year-old has played over 150 matches in professional football, and now brings that experience to Malta as we prepare for the Premier League campaign.
“Welcome to Valletta Football Club, Sava.”
Radic brings a lot of experience to the Valletta defence, having spent so many years player top-flight football in his country.
Radic came through the youth ranks of Cukaricki and eventually formed part of their first-team squad for two years.
In 2018, he was loaned out to Becej 1918 before he donned the colours of fellow Serbian clubs Trayal, Backa, and Dubocica.
In 2021, he moved to North Macedonia where he played for AP Brera before heading to top-flight side Struga.
At Struga, he helped the club to back-to-back league titles in 2023 and 2024.
In his teen years, Radic represented Serbia at international level collecting 10 appearances with the U-16 side, 11 with the U-17 selection, nine with the U-18 side and two caps with the Serbian U-19 team.
Radic is Valletta’s fifth signing after Brazilian goalkeeper Adilson Maringa, defenders Emmanuel Mbende, Mattias Ellul and Shaft Brewer.
