Żabbar St Patrick bolstered their forward line with the signing of Samuel Gomes da Mata, the Premier League club announced.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of Samuel Gomes Da Mata,” the Premier League club announced.
“Samuel, who is 25 and from Brazil, is a versatile attacking midfielder whose signing will add creativity, flair and depth to our midfield.
“He has previously played for Gudja United and Sliema Wanderers – where he proudly won the FA Trophy with the latter.
“Samuel, Welcome to Zabbar.”
Gomes Da Mata is seen as a major acquisition for the Saints as the Brazilian has impressed since his arrival at Maltese football.
The nippy forward quickly left his mark with Gudja United as he helped the club to retain their top-flight status in the season 2022-23, making 18 appearances, scoring three goals, and providing five assists.
The following season, he moved to the Wanderers and collected 38 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing two assists.
The Brazilian livewire is likely to provide an added spark to Żabbar’s forward line in their second season in the top flight.
