Daniel GTA enjoyed a dream debut for his new club, Mosta FC, as the Brazilian forward netted the winner in a 1-0 victory over Gżira United that ensured the Blues won the Gammari Muscat Tournament.
The Brazilian forward arrived at the Premier League club last week and made his debut in Saturday’s final at the Mosta Stadium.
Daniel GTA took just five minutes to leave his mark as the 27-year-old flicked the ball home from close in following a corner action to ensure his team lifted the trophy of the pre-season tournament.
For Daniel GTA, this will be his first experience outside Brazil, as he has spent his entire career in his homeland, donning the colours of several clubs, including Estanciano, AA Guarany, and Aguia de Maraba.
Daniel GTA is the latest Brazilian signing for Mosta, as the Blues have also brought in right back Leo Fernandes and left back Joao Victor.
For Fernandes, this will be his second spell at Mosta FC, having donned the club’s blue jersey for six months at the start of the 2024-25 season before returning to his homeland in January 2025.
Before he arrived at Mosta in 2024, Fernandes was on the books of the Albanian side AF Elbasani and helped them win the second division championship.ż
On his part, Joao Victor is in his first stint outside Brazil after previously being registered with Audax-RJ, Santa Rosa and Cabofriense.
