Coach Vasco Regini names his first Malta U19 squad for Latvia friendlies

Vasco Regini, Malta U19 coach, has named his first squad as they prepare for upcoming international friendlies away to Latvia.

The team will travel for a double-header against the Baltic side, with matches scheduled for September 5 and 7 at the J. Skredela Stadium in Riga.

These fixtures will serve as key preparation for the 2026 UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifiers. Malta has been drawn in Group 13, where they will face Czechia, Northern Ireland, and Azerbaijan in November.

For Regini, this trip marks his first test since taking charge of the team. The former Italian defender boasts over 100 appearances in Serie A, having featured for clubs such as Sampdoria, Napoli, SPAL, and Parma.
