Floriana FC have brought in Spanish goalkeeper Pablo Picon, the Premier League club announced.
The Greens have enjoyed a perfect start to their YoHealth Premier League campaign with two wins out of two and were determined to add more depth to their squad ahead of a challenging September which will see them play five matches in the space of two weeks.
The Greens have decided to part ways with Canadian goalkeeper Yann Fillion after his contract was rescinded recently.
“Floriana FC is pleased to announce the signing of Spanish goalkeeper Pablo Picón for the 2025/26 season,” the Premier League club said in a statement.
“The 25-year-old, born in Valencia, progressed through the youth system at Levante UD, where he trained regularly with the La Liga first team while continuing his development within the club’s setup. He later spent time with Real Valladolid Promesas before completing a solid 2024/25 campaign with Penya Deportiva.
“We welcome Pablo to the Floriana FC family and wish him the very best of luck in green and white!”
At Floriana, Picon will be battling for the number one jersey with Guilherme Cioletti, the Brazilian goalkeeper, who joined the club in the close season.
