Birkirkara FC have completed the signing of Ghana forward Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah, the Premier League club announced.
The Stripes have been working hard during the past few weeks to bolster their forward line following the injury of Nigerian forward Franklin Sasere, who is set for a long spell on the sidelines.
“Birkirkara FC have signed Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah,” the Premier League club said in a statement.
“Asumah is a dynamic center-forward known for his pace, strength, and intelligent movement inside the box. His ability to hold up play and finish clinically with both feet provides a fresh attacking option following the unfortunate long-term injury of Franklin Sasere.
“Asumah, who holds a Portuguese passport, brings valuable international experience, having played in the Netherlands and Switzerland before joining Australia’s A-League with Brisbane Roar.
“His journey across top European and overseas leagues has shaped him into the right profile that the Club has been looking for in the last few weeks.
“We would like to welcome Asumah while wishing him all the best of luck in his experience with our club.”
