Champions Ħamrun Spartans will face neighbouring rivals Valletta in their opening match of the Top Six while leaders Floriana face Marsaxlokk as the list of fixtures of the final phase of the Opening Round of the YoHealth Malta Premier were announced on Friday.
At present, Floriana are leading the way on 23 points, one clear of Ħamrun Spartans and Valletta, with the top two sides at the end of the Opening Phase guaranteed to challenge for the league title come the end of the season.
The second phase of the Opening Round will commence over the weekend of November 22-23, and will also mark the start of the Bottom Six.
In the Top Six, leaders Floriana will kick off their campaign against Marsaxlokk while the Spartans will renew their rivalry against newly-promoted Valletta.
The other fixture is equally fascinating as Sliema Wanderers will take on Birkirkara.
In the Bottom Six, Hibernians, who missed out on a place on the Top Six, will take on Naxxar Lions in their opening match while Gżira United will face Mosta.
