A superlative Haley Bugeja came off the bench to inspire Inter to a resounding 5–1 victory over AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina, scoring a sensational hat-trick.

The Maltese forward was introduced at half-time with the score locked at 1–1 and immediately changed the momentum of the contest.
Inter took the lead in the 49th minute before Bugeja struck three times between the 58th and 82nd minutes, putting the result beyond doubt.

Bugeja’s performance was all the more impressive given she is only just returning from a month-long injury sustained during a Serie A Femminile fixture against Roma.
She made her comeback last week in the win over Genoa, but this derby display marked her full return to form in emphatic fashion.
