Bournemouth owners Black Knight buy out French club Lorient

The American investment fund Black Knight have taken full control of French top-flight football club Lorient, the Brittany outfit’s president Loic Fery said on Wednesday.

Black Knight already owned 40 percent of the club and have now acquired the remainder from Fery, who retains the presidency and becomes a shareholder in the fund.

“Our industry continues to evolve towards ever-fiercer competition, requiring us to adapt our model to meet new challenges,” Fery said

“Joining BKFC represents a real opportunity to secure an ambitious future,” he added.

Lorient sit in ninth position in Ligue 1.

Black Night also own English Premier League club Bournemouth and has a majority share in Portuguese side Moreirense.
