Italian midfielder Carboni to join Ħamrun Spartans on loan from Sassari Torres

Ħamrun Spartans have reached an agreement to take young Italian midfielder Michele Carboni on loan from Sassari Torres, the Serie C side announced on Monday.

The 21-year-old midfielder has made ten appearances with the Italian club this season but is now set to continue his career in the Maltese Premier League with the Spartans.

“La Torres announces the loan transfer of Michele Carboni to Ħamrun Spartans,” the Italian club said in a statement.

“The midfielder, born in 2004, will spend the second part of the season in the Maltese Premier League with a club that during the past five seasons has won four league titles.”

Carboni is the third midfielder to join the Spartans this year.

In January, the Spartans completed the signing of Matthew Guillaumier and have also secured the services of Danilo Bulevardi.

Carboni came through the youth ranks of Italian Serie A side Cagliari and also had spells at Ternana before moving to Sassari Torres.
