Hibernians made it three wins on the trot when they brushed aside Żabbar St Patrick 2-1.
For the Paolites, the win reconfirmed the team’s good form of late and surely bodes well ahead of next Tuesday’s Super Cup final against Ħamrun Spartans at the National Stadium.
The match was short of scoring opportunities and it was in the first real opportunity that Hibernians broke the stalemate.

Miullen almost struck against seven minutes from the break when his firm drive just missed the upright.
Hibernians all but killed off the match with a second goal.
The Paolites were awarded a penalty, and Mailson stepped up to fire the ball home and put his team two goals to the good.
Żabbar St Patrick refused to throw in the towel and they managed to pull a goal back on 71 minutes when Pedro Cejas fired home from close in.
But Hibernians soon recovered their poise as they managed to administer their advantage to secure the win and maintain their positive run of late.
