Mosta FC kept themselves busy in the final hours of Deadline Day when they completed four signings before the winter transfer window closed on Thursday night.
The Blues completed the signings of defender Kurt Zammit, winger Nevin Portelli as well as defensive midfielder Gilson Costa and forward Azer Kozic.
Mosta are currently struggling in the Closing Round as they are sitting at the bottom of the standings with no points on the board yet.
The Blues brought a couple of additions to their defensive department as they signed experienced defender Kurt Zammit and defensive midfielder Gilson Costa.
Zammit brings with him a wealth of experience in top-flight football as he brought to a close 11 years at Birkirkara with his move to Mosta.
His versatility in defence will surely come in handy for Mosta FC and can help them to secure some much-needed defensive solidity.
On the other hand, Gilson Costa will prolong his stay in Maltese football after he agreed to join Mosta.
The 29-year-old started the season with Tarxien Rainbows but his spell there was cut short at the start of December when he was released by the newly-promoted side.
However, Mosta gave him a lifeline as they offered him a contract until the end of the season.
Nevin Portelli also agreed to move to Mosta after he left Marsaxlokk.
The young winger is likely to provide more attacking flair to the Blues’ forward line as they look to move away from the relegation places.
Mosta’s final signing was young Bosnia and Herzegovina forward Azer Kozic.
The 24-year-old forward spent the majority of his career in his homeland before moving to Croatian side NK Kutjevo.
He also had a spell in Slovenian football at Kety Bistrica and his last club was Macedonian side Bashkimi.
Zammit, Portelli, Costa and Kozic can make their debut in Sunday’s Premier League clash against Sliema Wanderers.
