Żabbar St Patrick land Tanzania international Charles M’Mombwa

The 28-year-old joins the Saints after a season with Floriana, with whom he won the 2025/2026 domestic title.

Żabbar St Patrick have strengthened their squad ahead of the new season with the signing of Tanzania international midfielder Charles M’Mombwa.

The 28-year-old joins the Saints after a season with Floriana, bringing valuable experience from both domestic football and Australia’s A-League.

Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and raised in Tanzania before moving to Australia, M’Mombwa developed through the Central Coast Mariners academy and went on to represent Central Coast Mariners, Macarthur FC and Newcastle Jets. He also helped Macarthur lift the Australia Cup in 2022.

Last season, the central midfielder featured in 18 Maltese Premier League matches for title-winning side Floriana, scoring once, while also making four UEFA Conference League appearances. Across all competitions, he registered 28 appearances and three goals.

He has also become an established member of the Tanzania national team, earning 19 caps and scoring four international goals.
