Tounkara, Domoraud move to Sirens

Sirens have completed the double signing of forwards Samba Tounkare and Wilfried Domoraud from Gżira United.

The St Paul’s Bay side are looking to finalise their preparations ahead of their Europa League qualifiers where they were handed a difficult draw after being paired with Bulgarian giants CSKA Sofia.

The Blues on Monday have wrapped up the signing of Samba Tounkare while they are at the finishing touches to sign Domoraud.

The 30-year-old Tounkara played for Gżira United for six months in 2017 before moving to Tarxien Rainbows after failing to leave his mark.

From then he moved to Tarxien Rainbows for the remainder of the season before heading to Oman to join Sur SC and then headed to Kuwait to play for Khaitan SC.

During his spell in the Maltese Premier League made 19 appearances and netted 11 goals.

Wilfried Domoraud

On the other hand, Domoraud arrived in Malta in 2018 when he signed for Ħamrun Spartans.

At the Reds, Domoraud established himself as a prolific forward as he made 32 appearances netting 13 goals.

Last December he moved to Gżira United and since then he made six appearances, scoring just one goal.

The Maroons have decided not to extend Domoraud’s stay at the club and Sirens decided to offer the French forward a one-year-contract which is set to be filed at the Malta FA offices in the coming days.
