Valletta FC have announced the signing of Brazilian striker Taylon Nicolas.
The prolific forward has put pen to paper on a two-year contract and is expected to play a key role for the Citizens this season as they bid to wrest the league title from their neighbouring rivals Floriana.
At Valletta, Taylon is expected to replace Montenegrin striker Bojan Kaljevic who announced on Friday that he is leaving the capital club.
Taylon doesn’t need any introduction to Maltese football as the speedy forward shone during his spell at Hibernians during season 2018-19 season.
That year he was a prolific scorer for the Paolites, netting 19 goals in 25 league appearance to help his team mount a strong title challenge to the same Valletta.
In fact, Hibernians went on to force an exciting league decider with Valletta but it was the Citizens who came out on top after they prevailed in a penalty shoot-out.
After his spell with Valletta, Taylon headed to Bulgaria to join Botev Plovdiv before heading to the Middle East to join Al-Orooba of the United Arab Emirates before returning home to Brazilian side Criciuma EC.
