ARMS Depiro’s Hannah Johnson, one of three American import players at the club – together with Quinn Cooper and Cordarius Johnson – has returned to the club following COVID-19 repatriation.
The Mtarfa club confirmed her return after a good rookie season in Malta where she reached two finals and also the league Playoffs before all was suspended due to the pandemic back in May.
The former University of Washington Huskies and Flash Agency US forward signed for Depiro back in 2019 averaging 31 points and 15.5 rebounds during last season before the early end.
Johnson is the first player to ply her trade in the Maltese basketball league and has managed to play a final four and reached the Last 16 of the NCAA Division One tournament.
At College Level, Johnson also played alongside Kelsey Plum, a no.1 draft pick by San Antoni Stars in the American WNBA.
The club expressed their satisfaction after retaining Johnson in their squad for next season saying they were ‘happy to have such a great player in our basketball family’.
