Former Floriana full-back Edmond Falzon passed away on Friday, aged 56, after a long illness.
Falzon was an exciting defender who started his career at Gżira United where he represented them at youth level.
However, it was at Floriana that he made a name for himself where he spent three seasons between 1981 and 1984.
He then headed to Sliema Wanderers where he played for the Blues between 1984 and 1987. However, a serious injury cut short his career as he was forced to retire.
Falzon’s funeral is set to be held on Saturday at the Gżira Parish Church at 2pm.
