Filype Pinheiro Mendonça, known as Lipão, is Gżira United’s latest signing after the Maroons announced the signing on Friday.
Lipão, 24, plays as a forward and will be replacing Amadou Samb who rescinded his contract earlier this month.
This will be the first experience overseas for Lipão who has been on the books of Olaria in the second level of the Rio De Janeiro championship, Campeonato Carioca.
During his spell between 2017 and 2019, he played 29 games with one goal to his name.
Led by coach Darren Abdilla, the Maroons are currently fifth on 25 points after 14 games.
