Mya Azzopardi competed in the International Turkcell Open last month, in Edirne, Turkey.
During the morning heats on the third day of competition, Azzopardi swam the 200m Freestyle in a national record time of 2:06,09.
The previous mark of 2:06,48 was held by Azzopardi herself and was established in Istanbul on the March 21.
Later in the afternoon, during the Finals of the 200m freestyle, Mya once again improved the National Record when she swam the distance in a time of 2:05.11.
