Malta international forward Haley Bugeja made it 10 goals on her Serie A Femminile debut as she grabbed a brace in Sassuolo’s win over Hellas Verona by 4-0.

Malta women defender Emma Lipman came on in the second half in Lazio’s 4-0 win over Ravenna as they have now opened six-point lead in second place with five games left. The top two teams in Serie B climb into Serie A.

Martina Borg, also part of the Malta women’s team, scored her third goal of the season after her Sassari Torres ran riot past Aprilia Racing 10-0 in the Serie C. Sassari Torres remain third on 40 points, two behind leaders Bologna. The winner of the league moves into Serie B.

Christa Chetcuti Ganada has resumed its football activities with Leicester City U-14’s following the suspension that halted sports in England. Christa scored one goal in a 3-2 win over Birmingham City last weekend, preceding this weekend’s goal in their 4-4 stalemate with Manchester City.
