Gżira United completed their transfer activity when they arnnounce the signing of Brazilian wingback Thiago Espindola.
“Gżira United Football Club are proud to announce that left full back Thiago Espindola signed a 1 year contract with our club,” the Premier League club said in a statement.
“The 28-year-old Brazilian played for Hamrun and Sirens where in the last season accumulated 18 matches.
“Welcome to our Club Thiaguinho, we wish you all the best with the Maroons.”
Thiago Espindola arrived in Malta in 2017 when he joined Ħamrun Spartans .
He remained with the Spartans until 2019 when he returned to his ountry to join Tigres.
However, in the summer of 2019 he returned to Malta when he joined Sirens FC where he helped them attain an historic qualification to the Europa League.
Last season, Espindola made 18 appearances for Sirens an provided two assists.
Espindola is the fourth signing by Gżira United after they signed defender Luke Tabone and midfielders Clive Gauci and Kurt Desira.
