Former Lija Athletic midfielder Harry Wood is closing in on a move to Challenge League side Mġarr United, according to reports from the UK.
The midfielder has reportedly refused offers from England, Bulgaria and also other clubs from Malta to take on this opportunity.
Wood, 21, played in the Premier League during the last season as he made 14 league appearances. He also played in the FA Trophy in a tie against Birkirkara.
The upcoming campaign it will be his third in Malta where he will be playing Challenge League football with Mġarr. He already played 8 second-tier games back in the 2018/2019 season when he first joined Lija.
The English player will join the pre-season camp next week under the guidance of experienced coach Patrick Curmi.
