Premier League side Sliema Wanderers has continued to reinforce its squad after announcing the signing of Ivorian winger Inters Gui.
The Times of Malta had reported that Gui was one of the three foreign players that the Wanderers were looking to bring in to bolster their squad.
Gui, who joined the club on a one-year deal, is a 28-year-old experienced player who had spells in Portugal, Switzerland and Georgia before embarking in Maltese football.
Most recently, Gui featured for Torrense in Portugal, with whom he played just two games after joining from SC Covilha in the winter transfer window. With Covilha, in the Portuguese second-tier he played 13 games including in a 1-0 win over Zach Muscat’s Casa Pia.
The Ivorian player has also 19 Portuguese top-flight games under his belt, facing the likes of Porto, Benfica and Sporting Lisbon.
Gui played 119 games in the Portuguese second-tier, 14 games in the Switzerland’s same category while at Chiasso and has also three appearances in UEFA club competitions when he was on the books of FC Samtredia of Georgia.
