Mellieha Libertas announced they have signed a new player in former Starlites centre Neil Sultana on Monday.
In a statement on their social media, Libertas said the Malta Under-18 player will be part of both their first and second division teams “as we are sure he will demonstrate all his potential”.
Sultana is the second former Starlites signing this new season after Adrian Mifsud’s side signed Mirco Azzopardi over the summer. The latter had been formerly on loan with the club during last season but joined the Mellieha side permanently.
New signing Sultana was part of the Malta Under-18 side in August for this summer’s FIBA European Challengers tournament where he averaged three points and 1.5 rebounds in the four games of the competition.
