Teuma’s RUSG make statement win as they hit KV Oostende for seven

Teddy Teuma’s Royal Union Saint-Gilloise were ‘crowned’ autumn champions after easing past KV Oostende 7-1, on Sunday evening.

The Malta international, who is captain of the Belgian side, was deployed from the start as he played 85 minutes before being replaced.

RUSG lead the Belgian top-flight with 34 points after 15 games, enjoying a seven-point lead over Royal Antwerp and Club Brugge.

Oud-Heverlee Leuven is RUSG’s next opponent as they will cross swords on November 26.
