Zach Muscat contributed to Casa Pia’s important 1-1 draw against Benfica B with a solid showing at the back in a highly-anticipated clash in the Portuguese second-tier.
The Malta international defender was named in the starting formation as he was making his 16th league appearance this season.
The 28-year-old played a full game as Casa Pia’s Leandro Sanca replied to Tiago Gouveia’s opener for Benfica in the first-half to earn a hard-fought draw at the Benfica Campus.
This point allowed both Casa Pia and Benfica B to remain joint-leaders with 40 points each.
Casa Pia’s next commitment will be a home game against CD Trofense on February 11.
