Kyokushin Karate hits Malta

The time has come for Malta to embrace one of the world’s strongest styles of karate which has its roots in Japan. This is known as, Kyokushin Karate.

After years of hard work, Kyokushin is finally here and Malta Shinkyokushin Karate is also officially recognised, as a member of EKO amongst other large countries from all across Europe.

The EKO (European Karate Organisation) is one of the biggest Kyokushin Karate organisations in Europe.

Kyokushin, is a full body contact style of martial art.

For this reason, one is taught how to defend himself and as we all know, self defence is a great asset in life.

Kyokushin training is based on achieving strong body conditioning, discipline, and realistic techniques that greatly assist one’s mental and physical health.

Malta’s official representative for EKO Shinkyokushin is Luke Spiteri who is a business director with a great passion for Martial Arts.

After many years of training, Spiteri has achieved a number of prestigious ranks and titles in different art forms and he is now finally fulfilling his dream of introducing Kyokushin Karate for the first time in Malta.

With utmost dedication, he looks forward to spread his knowledge through his weekly training to anyone interested to learn this form of art, be it the younger generation as well as adults of any age and gender.

Currently, one dojo (training centre) is open and the second one will be open later on next month.
