A squad of 29 players has been selected by the Head Coach of the National Teams Devis Mangia ahead of the friendly match that will see the national team play on home soil against Venezuela this Wednesday.
Head Coach Mangia had selected 33 players at the beginning of May for a training camp ahead of these games.
He held on to Floriana’s Mattia Veselji – formerly of the U-21’s selection – who was called up for the first time. Matias Garcia, also of Floriana, will be part of the Malta squad for the first time after being granted his Maltese passport.
The squad will be further trimmed down later on this week ahead of the three Nations League qualifiers against San Marino (home and away), and Estonia.
