Juventus have signed Iceland midfielder Bjork Gunnarsdottir from European champions Lyon, the women’s Serie A champions announced on Friday.
In a statement Juve said that the 31-year-old, who has 130 international caps, has signed a two-year deal and will join up with her new teammates after this summer’s European Championship.
She missed much of last season, when Lyon won a record-extending eighth Champions League, due to pregnancy and the birth of her first child.
That was the second European crown claimed during her two years with Lyon after also winning the 2020 edition.
Gunnarsdottir joins Juventus just as the women’s Serie A is set to become a professional league for the first time.
