Ylenia Carabott has expressed her happiness in putting pen to paper on a deal with Gillingham Women, the Maltese player said to the club’s official website.
Carabott, a highly-experienced player with 20 international goals, joined the English club last Wednesday.
She spent the previous campaign at Keynsham Town in the third-tier, where Carabott will be playing again in the upcoming 2022/2023 season.
“Unfortunately, my move to Gillingham collapsed last season but finally I am part of this family,” Carabott said in an interview.
During her career, Carabott had a spell in Italy with Chievo Verona before heading to Belgium where she played for Sporting Charleroi.
“I have an eye for goal, whether scoring or assisting, so I am looking forward to be on the ground,” she said.
“I hope that at Gillingham we win matches and also contribute to the team’s goals on a personal level.”
