Thomas Wareing established a new National Record in the Men’s 100m Backstroke on the second day of the National Swimming Championships hosted by the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta at the National Swimming Pool in Tal-Qroqq.
The previous record which had been set by Wareing himself in April 2022 in Gzira, has now been superseded by the one set yesterday of 59.65.
Meanwhile, Ella Fenech Attard established a new Age Group B record in the 400m freestyle event, when she beat her own Age Group Record, one she established in March 2022 in Gzira.
The new Age Group B Record now stands at 4:57:77.
The National Championships continue on Saturday at 1800hrs at the National Pool, Tal-Qroqq.
