Malta international Teddy Teuma has started his 2022/2023 Belgian campaign as his Royal Union Saint-Gilloise drew 1-1 away at Sint-Trudense.
Teuma, 28, captained the side in his usual central midfield role in a 3-4-3 under the new guidance of Karel Geraerts.
For the Malta international, this was his first competitive game since featuring for Malta in the home win against San Marino just last month.
Teuma’s Union, who will face Scotland’s Rangers in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, had a busy pre-season schedule including high-profile friendlies against Brighton and Feyenoord.
