Birkirkara have continued to reinforce their squad after bringing Italian defender Alessandro Coppola.
The Stripes are set to open the new 2022/2023 Premier League season against Sirens with the Italian eligible to feature after his registration was done in time to be part of tomorrow’s match.
Coppola, 22, will be featuring in his third championship outside Italy after playing in Portugal at SC Olhanense, Zach Muscat’s former team, and in Bulgaria with Tsarko Selo.
He came through the ranks of Torino before joining Livorno and then Triestina. His younger brother, Francesco, is currently on the books of Juventus at U-19’s level.
