The U-15’s boys selection of the Malta national team came from behind twice to upset Scotland 3-2 and top the UEFA Development Tournament.
Malta’s victory against the Scottish side follows the 2-0 victory against Gibraltar in the opening game of the tournament as Francesco Macri’s side wrapped up the campaign with a perfect record.
After Fletcher Boyd put Scotland ahead, Scott Camilleri levelled terms for Malta on the 55th minute.
The Scottish side took the lead for the second time moments later but two goals in the space of six minutes from Liam Buhagiar and Dale Vella handed Malta the win.
The U-15’s selection was comprised of players coming out from the MFA regional hubs recently launched by the Maltese football governing body.
