FIFA badge referee Philip Farrugia has been appointed as match official of a UEFA Europa Conference League tie on Thursday.
Farrugia, who will be assisted by Alan Camilleri and Duncan Sultana as assistant referees, will take charge of the Group A tie between Istanbul Basaksehir of Turkey and Latvia’s RFS.
The game will be played at Basaksehir’s home venue – the Fatih Terim Stadium, at 18.45 (Malta time).
Ishmael Barbara will also be part of the Maltese contingent in the capacity of fourth official.
The Turkish side is currently leading the group with seven points after three games whereas the Latvian representatives are bottom with just two points.
