Malta international player Jodi Felice Jones made his debut for Notts County in the National League.
Felice Jones, who joined the club earlier this week, was available for selection as he was one of the substitutes in their home game against Halifax.
The former Oxford United player was called into action on minute 75 with Notts County clinching a narrow 1-0 victory.
Notts County have now levelled leaders Walsall on 65 points, but having played an extra game as the latter were involved in FA Cup action on Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, James Brown played for St Johnstone as they lost 2-0 to Rangers in the Scottish Premier League.
Brown, who is also part of the Malta men’s national team, was deployed from the start as they fell to their 13th defeat of the season.
