Italy are one of the seven teams that have booked their ticket to this year’s UEFA U-19’s European Championship that will be hosted in Malta, between July 3-16.
The Azzurrini played their final Euro qualifier on Wednesday in a deciding game against Belgium. A draw was enough to see them through and in fact, the final 2-2 draw helped them secure a berth to the finals.
Meanwhile, England – winners of last year’s tournament in Slovakia – failed to make it to this year’s tournament after finishing behind surprising package Iceland in Group 7.
The other teams who made it to the tournament are Greece, Portugal, Norway, Poland and Spain, who will join Malta who will be participating as the host nation.
