MALTA 0-0 LITHUANIA
The Malta U-19’s selection continued its preparation towards this summer’s European Championships with an international friendly against Lithuania.
Coached by Toze Mendes, the Maltese shared the spoils against the Baltic nation in a goalless stalemate. The two teams are set for a rematch this Friday for the second and final time.
Since the match was scheduled out of the men’s international window, several foreign-based players were not available for Malta’s selection.
Nonetheless, Mendes could still rely on the likes of Wolves’ Lucas Scicluna, Jake Micallef and Sean Gatt who are on the books of Boavista, Daniel Letherby who is currently plying his trade in the United States and England-based Alex Spiteri.
