Hibernians have completed an important signing in bid to be more competitive in next season’s women’s championship.
The Paolites announced their third summer signing in forward Leah Ayres from Raiders.
Born in 2003, Ayres is highly-regarded by local clubs with Hibernians managing to capture her signature after parting ways with her previous club.
Last season, Ayres scored four goals for the senior side while topping the U-21’s scoring charts with 19 goals as Raiders finished joint-top in the regular season.
Ayres has already made her international debut for Malta after featuring in a home World Cup 2023 qualifier against Denmark, in 2022.
