Midfielder faced Morocco, Egypt, South Africa with his country earlier this year.
Sliema Wanderers have announced the arrival of international midfielder Joachim Adukor, on Monday.
Adukor, 30, hails from Liberia with whom he played five times at international level with his most recent game being a double-header against South Africa in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifications back in March.
He has also played for Liberia against Egypt, Niger and Morocco.
“We are very thrilled to announce the exciting addition of Liberia international defensive midfielder, Joachim Adukor to our squad,” the Premier League club said in a statement.
“Joachim brings with him an incredible wealth of experience, boasting a fantastic track-record not only in top-tier leagues across Europe like the Swedish Allsvenskan, Bosnia’s Premijer Liga, and Kazakhstan’s Premier League but also in the rigorous stage of Europa League qualification matches.
“Having even represented Liberia at international level, Adukor’s tenacity and expertise in the midfield will undoubtedly continue to fortify our squad’s strength and determination!”
Adukor is described as a defensive midfielder who is capable of fulfilling duties of a central defender as well with Sliema looking to bolster their defensive department.
Most recently he was on the books of Aktobe, in Kazakhstan’s top-flight, where he played 32 games and grabbed three assists and a goal in the process.
Adukor also played for FK Sarajevo of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Diosgyor of Hungary, Greece’s OFI Crete, ASB Beziers of France, Trofense of Portugal and Swedish club Gefle.
The highest point of his career was winning the league and cup double in Bosnia with FK Sarajevo in 2019 as well as adding another cup success with this club in 2021.
Sliema, on their return to the Premier League, have enjoyed a bright start to their campaign as they sit fourth with 13 points.
Paul Zammit’s side take on Floriana in this Saturday’s Old Firm derby.
