Salernitana announced on Tuesday that Stefano Colantuono would be their fourth coach of the season as Italian media reported that former France international Franck Ribery will be his assistant.
Colantuono was brought in until the end of the current season by Serie A’s bottom team to replace Fabio Liverani was sacked following just over a month in the job.
In February Liverani had replaced Filippo Inzaghi as the former Italy striker lasted only four months at Salernitana after Paulo Sousa was fired in October.
Salernitana have collected just two wins all season and are 12 points from safety with nine matches of the campaign remaining.
Ribery finished his playing career at Salernitana and, according to Sky Sport, will become part of the first team coaching set-up under Colantuono.
