Lexine Farrugia and Nina-Lee Naudi were teammates for Sampdoria U-17’s selection as they defeated Rhodense 7-1 to book their place in the Scudetto play-offs quarter-finals.
The two Malta players grabbed a goal each in this large win as the Blucerchiate will now face giants Inter in a two-legged final eight tie.
Farrugia has been a key player for the U-19’s side this season and is currently playing for the younger group to boost their bid for an Italian title.
Meanwhile, Naudi has been part of the U-15’s side, whom she captained as well, and is now adding further experience by playing in an older category.
