Former Italy midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has been appointed Hajduk Split coach, the Croatian club announced on Wednesday.
Gattuso, 46, who won the World Cup with the Azzurri in 2006, has signed a two-year deal.
“HNK Hajduk with great pleasure can confirm today that our first team will be led by the legendary Gennaro Gattuso,” they said.
His most recent job was with Marseille but was sacked in February after just five months in charge.
Hajduk will be his ninth coaching job, having had experience with sides like AC Milan, Valencia, Fiorentina and Napoli.
Six-time Croatian champions Hajduk finished third in the league and will be in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League for next season.
